mind EDUCATION AND RESEARCH IN NEUROSCIENCE AND MEDICINE International Conference FROM KNOW TO NEW: CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION IN NEUROSCIENCE La Habana (Cuba), 6 - 8 Novembre 2017 Co-Chairs: Prof. Peter Valdis-Sosa (La Habana, Cuba) Prof. Giuseppe Bersani (Rome, Italy) Guest Chairs: Prof. Gino Yu (Hong Kong, China) (Prof. Ornella Coruna (Hertfordshire, UK)) Background Third edition of biannual NEUPSYCO Congress. The Neupsyco Congresses organized by the Cuban Neuroscience Center, the Cuban Society of Psychaitry and the Association MIND - Education and Research in Neuroscience and Medicine in conjunction with the Sapienza University in Rome and the Italian Society of Psychiatry, was established in 2013 and has run two editions in 2013 and 2014. The event brings together delegates from worldwide to promote advanced and high level scientific exchange, with the objective of creating a biannual international meeting of clinicians and researchers in all fields of Neurosciences. Previous editions focused on relationship of Neuroscience and Psychiatry, as science of Human Behavior and related mental disorders. The scientific sessions and exhibition areas provide suitable sites for the discussion of issues related to the scientific program, cooperation projects, and commercial developments, with the participation of clinicians, professors, researchers, health professionals and entrepreneurs from Northern and Latin America, Asia and Europe. MIND - Education and Research in Neuroscience and Medicine • Via di Torte Argentina 21, Roma Web: • Segreteria organizzativa EFTA00587664 mind EDUCATION AND RESEARCH IN NEUROSCIENCE AND MEDICINE Prof. Peter Valdis-Sosa, from Cuba Neuroscience Center, and Prof. Giusepppe Bersani, from the Sapienza University of Rome, co-chaired the first two editions of the Neupsyco Congress. For the 2017 edition, Prof. Gino Yu, from Polytechnic University of Hong Kong, was invited to get involved with the event. Prof. Yu has hosted the Toward a Science of Consciousenss Conference in 2009 and will host the new version, The Science of Consciousness, also in 2017. He also founded and ran the Asia Consciousenss Festival (htt ://im rint.co.uktpdf/Gino.pdf) and is a pioneer of the TranTech movement Combined with other gatherings in Europe and Asia, Neupsyco provides an excellent platform for developing a community of international researchers focused upon understanding the relationship between mind and body. It was decided that the event would take a unique approach to mind-body understanding and also leverage the unique opportunities in the host country of Cuba by focusing on creativity and innovation rather than only on brain and mental disorders. Hence, the title "From Known to New." The event can serve accelerate the creative and innovation industries by applying a science-based methodology for investigation and inquiry into creative processes and innovation. Such a program would stimulate new lines of inquiry and promoting cross- disciplinary collaboration. The event would also serve as a catalyst for the development and commercialization of new products and services arising from these collaborations. Organized by: Center of Neuroscience of Cuba.
