Jeffrey Epstein island trip and our Mindshift Conference. Please keep this document in a place
where you will not loose it, and it will be useful to print out and bring along on your trip. If you
have any further questions, please do not hesitate to email me.
I hope everyone is looking forward to a fabulous time. There will be many fun and delightful

Ritz Carlton, St. Thomas
The address of the hotel is 6900 Great Bay, St. Thomas, VI 00802. The website is:
http://www.ritzcarlton.com/en/Properties/StThomas/Default.htm
Please visit their website to learn about their facilities.
Most of the activities that we will be engaged in will center around this hotel, including our
meetings, and after dinner activities. The meeting room will also have internet access.
Dress code:
Casual, and elegant casual when we go out to dinner. Also bring clothes for hiking on Jeffrey's
private island. Knowing this group, please note that there will be a diversity of styles, mistakes, and
statements, as one person who is coming as a companion is a world famous icon from the world of
fashion and high couture, and we have another attendee whose most famous contribution in this
department was creating the famous pocket protector at MIT, which states "Nerd Pride." It is these
interesting juxtapositions from entirely different worlds and vocabularies that are the most fun.
Opening Reception with Jeffrey Epstein:
This will take place on Friday, January 7th, at the Ritz Carlton and at 7:00 p.m. This will be followed
by our first night of fun activities. Everyone may attend this reception and night of activities. This
will have light bites and drinks, but not dinner.
Meals:
EFTA00709065
All attendees and their companions may attend.
Breakfast: 7:30 — 8:00 a.m in Ritz Carlton
Lunch: 12:30 p.m. in Ritz Carlton
Dinner: 6:00 p.m.
After Dinner Activities:
"You can learn more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation." — Plato
These will be open to everyone. They consist of the following, and some activities may be
simultaneously held or over different nights:
Murray Gell-Mann will lead the game of Diplomacy for anyone who knows how to play.
Dan Dubno will teach people a couple of really "hot" tricks.
Pablos Holman will demonstrate how to pick locks with their very own bump key (provided).
Al Seckel will be holding movie nights with some recently released or about to be released excellent
movies, as well as provide an assortment of master puzzles.
Frances Arnold will lead a fun evolutionary word game, and may have a demonstration of directed
evolution, which will end with a surprise.
Brock Pierce will lead some wine tasting with excellent wine.
EFTA00709066
Catherine Mohr will teach everyone how to do flash pickling and how to cut and dice vegetables like
a pro.
Leonard Mlodinow will do a very peculiar olfactory demonstration as well as provide copies of his
recent best-selling book, co-authored with Stephen Hawking, The Grand Design.
Baron Von Reichart will no doubt do something interesting and unusual, but it will be a surprise.
Gerald Sussman will bring an excellent telescope and lead a tour of heavenly bodies, but not the
ones by the pool. Sorry.
And, there will be further activities provided by Christof Koch, Paul Kirkaas, and Ronald Reisman.
The Mindshift Conference Meetings
