Institute will work with Blair, Rwanda on best
practices to drive investment
How can we stimulate growth and improve living standards in fast-growing
economies around the world? That was the topic of a roundtable last week in
New York, where speakers included Tony Blair, former prime minister of
Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and the founder of the Tony Blair Africa
Governance Initiative; Paul Kagame, president of the Republic of Rwanda;
Strive Masiyiwa, chairman and founder of Econet Wireless; Seth Merlin,
chairman of the Access to Global Capital Initiative and founder and CEO of
Liquidnet; Mike Milken, chairman of the Milken Institute. The roundtable was
part of the Milken Institute's Agrea§ to Glohal Capital Initiative developed in
partnership with Liquidnet, which will work together with the Tony Blair Africa
Governance Initiative and the government of Rwanda to help identify and
implement best practices that accelerate the flow of capital.
