Richard,
The causes of the increase are: > wrote:
1) The quote from October (#84472) was priced at the discounted round trip rate, even though the actual flight criteria
didn't qualify for the discount. To qualify for the round trip discount between New York and Boston the entire flight would
have to complete within 12 hours. When a flight qualifies for the round trip discount, the "reposition cost" within the
airport fee is waived. Currently, the reposition cost for BED is $854. See example below. This is direct from our pricing
tool on
2) On January 10th we had a slight price increase to the base hourly rates. The O3's rate went up by $116 per hour. Below
is a quick snapshot of an e-blast that went out at the end of last year.
EFTA01197100
3) We reevaluate our airport fees twice a year; once in January and July. Depending on our cost to operate from a specific
airport, the airport fee may go up or down. TEB's airport fee went from $761 to $830, an increase of $69. BED's airport
fee went from $1,444 to $1,482, an increase of $39. Overall, the airport fee cost went up by $108 per leg on this route in
early January.
The increase in cost for your most recent quote came from the combination of the round trip discount that was offered on
your quote from October, the hourly rate increase on January 10th, and the airport fee increase in January. I hope this
explanation helps. Please email or call if I can help with anything else.
Best,
Mark
