Bask in the 'good old days' they played tricks on one

When Sunday came, people for Ansa around would go to
some one home and a traveling preacher would two to this home and preach,
both morning an4 evening services. Ibile at these servisee many tricks
were played-i.one in particular happened when Reverend George Gage was
preaching: One Sunday night he and one of the cowhands from a neighboring
ranch rode horseback to a neighbors for "preaching" ---they got ther about
dark and getting off their horses they threw the reins over the horses
head and over a limb of a small tree.
The service lasted 80A0 little time, and after shaking
hands with everyone Reverend Gage and the cowhand left the hones, got on
their horses leaned over to take the reins, and all of a sudden the cow-
hand cried out "They've out my horses helld off", "Oh no," replied Reverund
Guge. why do yOU tning that your horses head had been out off, isn't he
still sti,ndia4" "Oh yes he is still standing, but I reached over to take
the reins um& they arn't there and his head is missing". (tale was said
almost in tears). At that Revcrand Geva got off his hc.a.ee, walked over
t. the horse on which the cowhand va-1 sittingan sure enouilti just as he
expected, the saddle had, been turned around by sore prankster, and the
cowhand was twang north on a south bound horee.
