Snorf was born near Biles, Michigan. After completing her education
in the Michigan schools, being a graduate of high school and busi-
ness collegejshe came west to Eoswell, New Mexico, where nhe has
lived continuously since 1906.

Miss Snort has also been a contributor to numerous magazines

and newspapers. She has frequently appeared ini\New Mexico Magazine,
and in the Lou Angeles Times, her theme always beine, on the State
of her adoption Now Mexico.
Miss Snort owns her own home in one of the most beautiful resi-
dential districts of Roswell Lea Avenue and Second Streets where
she in eurrounded by friends, who have learned to apfrectiate her for
her lovable disposition and her kindness as a ne!ehbor. She is a
member of the Chaves County Archaeological and historical Society,
and as the first secretary, serving until 1938, she rendered valu-
able assistance to the society during the first years of its organi-
zation and building of the Rowell Luccum.
Miss Annie Laurie Snort in appreciated as a valuable contribu-
tor to the beauty and culture of Rocroll and the State of New Mexico.
