Although businesses across the world are exposed
to climate hazards, there is some variation by
region. Extreme heat is the number one risk across
all regions, followed by fluvial flooding (see Table 2). Water stress ranks next highest in Africa, the Middle
East, Asia-Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean
and Europe. Tropical cyclones rank third in Canada
and the United States.
