21 Action:
To achieve its objectives, the initiative is conducting
a series of detailed interviews with key stakeholders
in Azerbaijan. These discussions focus on
identifying the gaps, challenges and opportunities
in the current energy management framework.
Next steps:
A workshop reviewed and triaged these use cases, with stakeholders selecting one representative case for
pilot implementation, further analysis and inclusion in publications such as a white paper on AI and energy
and a solution toolbox for net zero-carbon cities. Result:
The information gathered will be instrumental in
crafting targeted use cases and lessons learned
that improve urban energy management through AI
solutions, both in Azerbaijan and globally. Azerbaijan
Context:
The AI in Energy Initiative seeks
to explore opportunities for the
integration of AI in Azerbaijan’s energy
systems with the aim of enhancing
sustainability and energy efficiency,
particularly in urban environments.
In close collaboration with the World Economic Forum,
we are working on an AI in Energy pilot project aimed
at optimizing energy consumption, enhancing energy
efficiency, reducing operational costs, and minimizing
environmental impact in Azerbaijan. The positive and
successful outcomes will serve as a model for replication
in other countries.
