Foreword Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) is no longer a future vision. It is a reality that is being driven by demand for faster, cleaner mobility and advances in propulsion systems and autonomy. For Saudi Arabia, this transformation represents more than a technological shift: it is a strategic opportunity to advance the goals of the country’s Vision 2030 development programme. Through giga-projects and a regulatory mindset open to real-world testing, the Kingdom is putting in place the groundwork to ensure that Advanced Air Mobility matters globally. Early demonstrations, from medical drone logistics during Hajj to autonomous aerial surveying in the energy sector, illustrate the potential of these technologies to deliver tangible public benefits, validate operational readiness and build trust among regulators and communities. This paper, developed by the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution Saudi Arabia, in collaboration with the World Economic Forum and the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution Saudi Arabia network stakeholders, captures insights from these early steps and translates them into pathways for deployment. Its purpose is to document progress, as well as to create a dialogue, share lessons learned and help shape a coherent operational model that will allow AAM to advance responsibly, build trust and deliver sustained public benefit. The journey ahead requires partnership and collaboration in addition to a willingness to innovate.
