In regional terms, Asia Pacific is the world’s largest
market for green food and water technology, driven
by scale and existing demand. Meanwhile, the
Middle East is one of the world’s most promising
markets, supported by increasing investment and
a growing focus on innovation. The two regions represent key growth markets and their combined
growth will markedly outpace that of any other
region by 2030, accounting for a total $209
billion or nearly 45% of the global food and water
technology market (see Figure 5).

Emerging economies are playing an increasingly
important role in the green food-water transition,
with regions such as China and the Middle East
