--> --> Hunter Park to hold Big Al's finals Ashland Daily Tidings Hunter Park will hold all of the championships of the 26th annual Big Al's Tennis Tournament. The championships will start at 8 a.m. with the women's 4.5 singles championship (see more times below). The record-breaking tournament kicked off Friday with nearly 500 participants at Hunter Park and the Southern Oregon University tennis courts. Today the tournament will continue all day at both venues before wrapping up Sunday at Hunter Park. The tournament is sponsored by Supporters of Tennis for Ashland Youth (STAY), Ashland Parks and Recreation Department and Southern Oregon University. Proceeds from the event go to the SOU women's tennis team, STAY and the Parks and Rec to fund youth tennis.
