--> --> Jackson County Fire District No. 5 · 1:30 p.m. Tuesday - Open burn out of control, 1400 block Talent Avenue, fire from burning wrapping papers was blown into nearby trash pile, no property damage. · 2:16 p.m. Tuesday - Structure fire, 4800 block South Pacific Highway, tools valued at $20,000 and two tons of hay destroyed, unknown cause, but fire may have started in nearby haystack and spread to outbuilding. Two live downed power lines slowed attempts to combat the blaze. · 4:51 p.m. Tuesday - ATV driver suffered a broken leg when vehicle flipped over backwards on steep terrain. Transported by Mercy Flights to Rogue Valley Medical Center. · 10:49 p.m. Tuesday - Fire in apartment, 200 block Rapp Road. Candles left burning unattended eventually ignited top of table and table cloth. Smoke detectors did not activate and extensive smoke damage occurred. Fire damage limited to table. Email your...
