Ashland High senior linebacker Morgan Mason (18) makes a diving tackle against the Eagle Point Eagles. Mason was Ashland High's lone first-team all-SOC selection. He was a first-team all-SOC defensive player for the Grizzlies. Andrew Mariman | Ashland Daily Tidings Mason was the lone Grizzly to nab first-team all-SOC honors and one of seven Ashland players to be recognized overall, as the all-conference team was announced Monday. Also representing Ashland were: second-team tight end Jeff Skinner, second-team wide receiver Steve Jorgensen, second-team defensive lineman Simon Weibel, and second-team linebacker Brian Kitchell. Jorgensen also earned a second-team spot on defense for his work as a defensive back for the Grizzlies. The Grizzlies also had several honorable mentions, including: offensive guard Weibel, offensive tackle Jason LeFever and quarterback Sam Littleton. The Grizzlies finished 3-6 overall, 1-5 in the SOC. They lost their first five league games before finishing strong with a win over Crater.
