--> --> SOU fills human resources post Ashland Daily Tidings Southern Oregon University's nationwide search for a new associate vice president of human resources has ended. Cynthia Beckwith, formerly the assistant vice chancellor for labor relations at the Oregon University System, will hold office effective Nov. 1. "I'm very excited to work for SOU and to live in that community. I have a high regard for everyone at the university which is another reason I wanted to go to SOU," Beckwith said. Beckwith's experience in human resources began with a 14-year stint at the University of Rochester in New York. She then worked with the Florida State Higher Education System before seeking employment with the OUS. Beckwith said attaining the new human resources position will help meet her career objectives. "My professional goal is to work on a campus in a human resources leadership role. "SOU represents the realization of my goal in terms of the size of the university and its educational goals. It is something I've wanted to do for a number of years," Beckwith said. Beckwith plans to move to the area from Eugene later this month. Email your...
