Ashland Daily Tidings/AMY ALONZO Kulongoski makes election pitch at SOU With less than a week before the election, Democratic gubernatorial candidate Ted Kulongoski arrived at Southern Oregon University to discuss the funding of education and to express concern over low voter turnout among students. Talent council denies `Montecito' TALENT - Siding with the Talent Planning Commission, city councilors rejected the proposed "Montecito" development in South Talent, calling the plan incompatible with city ordinances as well as the surrounding neighborhood. City seeks applicant for Yap seat TALENT - A six-month seat is available on the Talent City Council. Deadline arrives to mail in ballots Voters are behind in sending their mail-ins ballots, and today is the last day to act. Correction Due to inaccurate information provided to The Tidings, ticket pricing information was incorrect in a story Wednesday on the World Peace and Prayer Day celebration June 21-23 in Ashland.
