World Day of Prayer: A local World Day of Prayer service is scheduled for Friday, March 4, at Calvin Hall at the First Presbyterian Church, 1615 Clark Ave, Ashland. A ecumenical service begins at 1 p.m. with refreshments and fellowship time to follow. A liturgy written by women of Cuba will be used in gatherings around the globe. The theme, “Receive Children, Receive Me,” is based on the story of Jesus welcoming the children his disciples had turned away.
