Three options floated for public funding of civic enhancements The Ashland Public Arts Commission is hoping the city will join other Oregon communities that earmark public funds for public art. To that end, the commission has developed three funding options. The Ashland City Council is scheduled to discuss the possibility of the city funding public art at its next meeting that begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Ashland City Council Chambers, 1175 E. Main St. Ashland ranks 2nd in the arts Although the public arts commission believes Ashland should find more ways to fund public arts in the community, the city is heralded as one of the most artistic places in the country.
