Advance tickets are $25 and can be purchased online at aftontickets.com , Magic Man in Medford and Grants Pass, Bad Ass Coffee in Medford, and Music Coop in Ashland. Tickets will be $30 the day of the show. Gates open at 2 p.m., and the show starts at 3 p.m. Buncom Day Southern Oregon's own ghost town comes alive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 28, during annual Buncom Day festivities. A parade led by one-man band Bob O'Luney is at noon. Offerings include the “chicken splat contest,” live music, face painting, a book sale, plant sale, a country store, children’s activities, and information about the Applegate and Siskiyou Trail Associations, fire safety, lace-making and more. A Hawaiian-style lunch will be available. Admission is free. To get there, follow Highway 238 to Ruch, turn south onto Upper Applegate Road, travel three miles, turn left on Little Applegate Road and follow it for three miles to Buncom, at the intersection with Sterling Creek Road. Proceeds from the event help preserve Buncom's historic buildings. See www.buncom.org . Jefferson State Choral Coalition The choir, directed by Kirby Shaw, will present a program of music celebrating America's gospel music at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 29, in the Music Recital Hall at Southern Oregon University, 405 S. Mountain Ave., Ashland. Look for guest singer Darlene Reynolds-Cooper, a former student of Shaw's. Also, the choir will be accompanied by rhythm and horn sections. Tickets are $10, $5 for kids and students, and can be purchased online at jeffersonstatechoralcoalition.com , Paddington Station in Ashland, or at the SOU music hall box office. Gretchen Rumbaugh Jazz singer Gretchen Rumbaugh will present "My Life: Beatles & Beyond," a program of interpretive arrangements of Beatles songs along with some of her favorite songs from performances at Oregon Cabaret Theatre and the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, at 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, at OCT, First and Hargadine streets, Ashland. Pianist John Engerman will provide accompaniment. The show is part of OCT's One Night Only series. Tickets are $15 in advance and can be purchased online at oregoncabaret.com or by calling 541-488-2902. Tickets will be $18 at the door. Dinner reservations begin at 6:30 p.m. Appetizers, beverages and desserts do not require reservations. Petunia and the Vipers Petunia and his band will play rousing, danceable and haunting country and western laced with rock and jazz — look for high lonesome vocals along with some yodeling in the mix — at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, at Johnny B's, 120 E. Sixth St., Medford. The band is touring the West Coast behind its new album, "Dead Bird on the Highway," on CD and vinyl. Look for digital downloads online at petuniaandthevipers.com and on Bandcamp.
