--> --> Planners delay vote on Railroad property Ashland Daily Tidings The Ashland Planning Commission needs more information before approving an outline plan for an 11-lot subdivision with a zone change to allow a residential overlay on a vacant parcel in the Railroad District. The commission Tuesday decided to put off discussion of the proposal until applicants Donna Andrews and Kelt Reeves can bring back more information on their reasons for shifting the location of a road in the proposed development property, and more details on the plans for a nearby open space and riparian area. "Basically there were a lot of unanswered issues," commissioner John Fields said. The property - just west of North Mountain Avenue between Hersey and A streets - contains two parcels on 3.78 acres. It also includes a drainage and riparian area on the eastern edge which is identified on the National Wetlands Inventory. The property also borders, but does not include, a large stand of willow trees in the drainage area which has been the subject of public debate through the process of creating a master plan for the entire railroad property. At the same meeting, the commission approved a request for site review to construct a 17,800-square-foot building on Clover Lane. Email your...
