ASHLAND MIDDLE SCHOOL Volunteers needed to help with Spanish World Simulation Comment By Local report DailyTidings.com By Local report Posted Apr. 23, 2015 at 6:30 PM By Local report Posted Apr. 23, 2015 at 6:30 PM » Social News Ashland Middle School is seeking volunteers to help the Spanish department run a Spanish World Simulation event May 4-8. At the event, which is for seventh- and eighth-grade students, the school will operate various booths that represent a consulate, a first-aid station, a bank, a store, fruit and vegetable stands, a craft shop, a butcher shot and a post office. Community members and students will be working together to develop an interactive, Spanish-speaking world in which the students will experience what it's like to be immersed in an unfamiliar, Spanish-speaking environment. AMS needs 12 Spanish-speaking adults to participate from 8:45 to 11 a.m. each day. Those who can volunteer at least one full day should email Marina Borowy at [email protected]. AMS is also seeking donations of gently-used books, movies, CDs, board games, puzzles, posters, video games and costume jewelry.
