No. 5 2:43 p.m. Sunday - Report of a quarter of an acre grass fire on Jackson Street at North Pacific Highway. The fire was within 100 feet of a structure before fire crews were able to contain the blaze. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Talent Police Department 4 a.m. Saturday - Medford man, 24, arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol on the 300 block of West Valley View Road. Ashland Police & Fire 11:35 p.m. Sunday - Ashland man, 19, cited for unnecessary noise and allowing minors to consume alcohol at a residence on the 900 block of Siskiyou Boulevard. 2:15 p.m. Sunday - Witnesses observed a male juvenile failing to perform his duties as a driver after he collided with a parked vehicle on Iowa Street at California Street. He was cited for criminal mischief. 9:45 a.m. Sunday - A male juvenile was arrested for throwing a paint can at a man on the 400 block of Drager Street. He was taken to the Jackson County Detention Hall. 3 a.m. Sunday - A male juvenile was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol on Ashland Street at Normal Street. While searching the vehicle, an officer found scales and two ounces of marijuana. The juvenile was cited and released to his parents. 2:30 a.m. Sunday - Ashland man, 29, arrested for reckless driving and driving under the influence of intoxicants on Pioneer Street at B Street. He was taken to the Jackson County Jail in Medford. 11:31 p.m. Saturday - An officer watched an Ashland woman, 20, run a red light on Siskiyou Boulevard at Mountain Avenue. When the woman saw the officer, she sped away on the wrong side of the road and attempted to hide her vehicle between two buildings on Mountain Avenue. She was charged with reckless driving, cited, and released to her parents. 12:18 p.m. Saturday - Ashland man, 28, cited for unnecessary noise at Lithia Park.
