Poll leaves little doubt: No to war Three out of four Internet voters oppose the United States taking the lead in a war against Iraq, a Tidings poll shows. The overall vote total from Feb. 8 to Saturday was the highest ever for a Tidings online poll since the "Question of the Week" began nearly three years ago. It shattered the previous mark for participation on a question on the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument in 2001 by some 450 votes. One thousand three hundred and sixty-eight people logged on to www.dailytidings.com this week to answer the question, "Do you support a U.S.-led war against Iraq?" By Saturday, 1,053 people or 77 percent had voted against war. Another 283 people or 21 percent said they would support a U.S.-led attack on Iraq. Only 32 people or 2 percent said they were undecided. This week's poll question, posted Saturday, is: "Who is the biggest threat to U.S. security?" The Tidings weekly online poll is an unscientific measurement of public opinion and only reflects the views of those who choose to participate. Its sole purpose is to provide greater public input on a variety of issues.
