--> --> A vote for Hallett Recently, John Hallett, a longtime resident of Jackson County announced his candidacy for Jackson County Commissioner Position Number One. Although I am no longer a resident of Jackson County, I would like to share my family's experience with John and his wife Beth. My late husband was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in 1998. As part of his treatment it was necessary to spend one year at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle which meant that my family including two young children needed to leave our home in Medford to be with him. During this time John and Beth cared for our home and maintained our yard, often coming twice a day to water as we did not have an irrigation system. In the autumn John weatherized our home and made many needed repairs. At year's end it meant so much to my family and I to return to a home that had been so well cared for. John's commitment to our family did not end there. He and Beth provided ongoing support to us during our most difficult of times. We never asked for John's help; he simply saw the need and took care of it. John's commitment and caring for others extends beyond his immediate circle of friends. I am certain John would reach out with this same compassion, caring, and commitment to those he would serve. I strongly urge you to consider John Hallett for County Commissioner.
