August 30, 2005 Kids on display at JEGA Rows of paintings, artists’ statements and framed poems lined the walls in preparation for Ashland’s First Friday, when galleries open their doors during the first Friday evening of the month and welcome crowds of art lovers. The teens, who worked for a month with local artist Dan Mish to create the paintings, are hoping the people drifting past this Friday will not only appreciate the art, but will be moved to become foster parents for troubled boys.
