--> --> Aug. 20: Ride and Tie race to be held Sunday The sixth annual Headwaters of the Rogue Ride and Tie Race is scheduled for Sunday at Hamaker Meadows off Diamond Lake Highway. Ride and Tie is a 28-mile race where two riders share the same horse. The race starts with one rider on horseback and one on foot. The horseback rider goes a mile and ties the horse, leaving it for the partner on foot. This happens about 80 times during the race. For more information call Annette Parsons at 846-6656.
