An online survey has been set up to take comments and two sessions are being held in the Rogue Valley this week on the topic. According to a release, the state wants to learn more about the needs among those with hearing loss, including hearing loss experiences and barriers to services. Oregon is one of 13 states that doesn’t have an agency or state services for the deaf and people suffering with hearing loss. The report from this project will be shared with the Legislature in 2017. Interested parties can provide input at www.wou.edu/rrcd/home/cna . There also will be three opportunities to comment, two in the Rogue Valley, for those who have difficulty with technology, have no access to the internet or need help with the survey itself. The locations, dates and times comments will be taken are: Friday, Aug. 12, 1 to 5 p.m., Building 6, Rooms H138 and H108, Klamath Community College, 7390 South Sixth St., Klamath Falls. Saturday, Aug. 13, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Carnegie Building, 413 W. Main St., Medford. Sunday, Aug. 14, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Building Z, Rooms 1 and 2, Rogue Community College Redwood Campus, 3345 Redwood Highway, Grants Pass.
