--> --> Pilots' winning streak comes to an end at 17 Ashland Daily Tidings KLAMATH FALLS - The Ashland Pilots' 17-game winning streak came to halt Thursday afternoon at Klamath Falls. The Pilots won the first game 12-9, but dropped the nightcap to Klamath 6-5 to end the streak. Ashland now sits at 17-2-1 and is 11-1 in Area 4 American Legion action. In the opener, Ashland's Chareles Dotterer won the game with a three-run home run in the top of the seventh inning. In the nightcap, Ashland struggled at the plate until the seventh inning when the offense came alive. Trailing 5-2, a pair of base hits set the stage for a three-run Bill Rowe home run to tie the game. But Klamath Falls answered right back in the bottom of the inning to score the winning run off Ashland's Mike Allen. Ashland travels to Roseburg tonight to face Horizon in a doubleheader starting at 6 p.m. The Pilots will then travel to Miles Field Saturday to face North Medford at 6:30 p.m. Email your...
