[an error occurred while processing this directive] (none) Fire evacuations in parts of state By The Associated Press A group of eight to 10 fires continued to burn Saturday in the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest in northeastern Oregon, and evacuations were being planned for a handful of residents. The largest of the Oregon fires, all of which were started by lightning Wednesday night or Thursday morning, was the 18,000-acre Eastside Complex Fire, burning across grass and timber in the Hells Canyon National Recreation Area near the Idaho border. Also, high winds fed a fast-moving fire in the Ochoco National Forest, near Prineville, authorities said.
