Women with attitude and men who like women with attitude at Jega Gallery and Sculpture Garden For the 8th year, Jega Gallery and Sculpture Garden,Inc. has celebrated Women's History Month by holding their "Women with attitude and men who like women with attitude" juried exhibit. The exhibit will be on display during March and April. According to Jega's J. Ellen Austin, the gallery has received, " � an astounding mixture of entries consisting of paintings, poetry, photographs drawings, sculpture and mixed media." Austin continues, "The judges had a hard time choosing this year: over 25 entries were selected from as far away as our sister city Guanajuato, Mexico, France, Seattle, New York, including some of our wonderful local and West Coast artists! Some of the works are humorous, some humorless, some provocative, political and historical, hysterical...This exhibit just shows what imaginations they have and they certainly do challenge our imaginations!" The exhibit opening will be held during the March First Friday Art Walk. During the reception, musicians Zan Nix and Richard Williams will be performing their original compositions and the TriAngel group, which includes Heather Hutton, Vanessa Nowitzky and Aletha Nowitzky, who will perform at 7 p.m. Other events coming up at the gallery include creativity workshops given by Elin Babcock. On March 15, the topic will be "Exploring your creativity with masks." On March 29 the topic is "Women and Creativity" with Anya Zummara.
