--> --> Scrooge needs to ease up on his anti-holiday spirit, or send me $100 I have just read the letter lambasting Doug Newman and depicting him as some kind of scrooge for his failure to automatically cough up a mere $25,000 for Christmas lights on the Ashland Springs Hotel. I wonder if the author has any personal knowledge of Doug Newman's present finances or exactly how much $25,000 (a year's wages for most) means to Mr. Newman right now. Maybe Mr. Newman just gave $25,000 to some charity that could really use it. My point is that neither of us know and it is small-minded to publicly speculate. I'll bet the author could afford to give me $100 and that would sure perk up my holiday spirit. Please choose your battles more carefully and keep that Christmas spirit.
