Catwoman Patience, a woman who can't seem to stop apologizing for her own existence, stumbles upon a secret her employer, Hedare, is hiding. In a mystical twist of fate, Patience is transformed into a woman with the strength, speed, agility, and ultra-keen senses of a cat, a sleek and stealthy creature who sets out to stop Hedare from unleashing an appallingly dangerous product on the world. Cinderella Story Modern day Cinderella story with a plain Jane named Sam who has a hot romance going with an Internet boyfriend. Afraid to reveal her true identity once she discovers he cyber soul is her high school's ultra-popular quarterback, Sam makes a mad dash back to reality, leaving her cell phone behind. Hillary Duff, Chad Michael Murray. PG for mild language and innuendo. 97 min. Clearing Wayner and Eileen live the American dream. Fahrenheit 9/11 Winner of the Palme d'Or at the 2004 Cannes Film Festival Michael Moore documentary is an expose of the powerful rolls that oil and greed may have played in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, and the resulting actions of the United States since those attacks. Originally picked up by Harvey and Bob Weinstein for distribution through Miramax, Disney (parent company of Miramax) could not allow Miramax to release the film. The Weinsteins were able to buy the distribution rights back from Disney, and the film is now being released by Lions Gate (who previously released Moore's "Bowling for Columbine") and IFC. Written, Produced and Directed by Michael Moore. R for some violent and disturbing images, and for language. 116 minutes. I, Robot This is the year 2035. A detective, Spooner, is sent to an experimental space station to investigate the death of a brilliant, eccentric scientist. Initially labeled a suicide, Spooner suspects a robot may have committed the crime. But that's impossible, as robots are unable to harm or allow harm to come to a human being. King Arthur As the British Empire crumbles, the British Isles are thrown into a loose anarchy as errant knights are entrenched in years of territorial battle. One king emerges to unite them with his concept of a round table of united knights - Arthur. Directed by Antoine Fuqua ("Training Day," "Tears of the Sun"). Clive Owen, Keira Knightly, Ioan Gruffudd, Stephen Dillane, Ray Winstone, Hugh Dancy. PG-13 for intense battle sequences, a scene of sensuality and some language. 126 minutes. Spider-Man 2 Peter Parker juggles the delicate balance of his dual life as a college student and a super-human crime fighter, confronting a new nemesis, the maniacal and multi-tentacled Doc Oak. Directed by Sam Raimi. Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, Alfred Molina and James Franco. PG 13 for stylized action violence. 128 min. Story of the Weeping Camel In Mongolian with English subtitles Set in the desolate Gobi Desert, a rural community must recruit a musician from a far-off village for an ancient ritual they hope will save the life of a newborn camel rejected by its mother. PG for some mild thematic content. 93 min. Super Size Me (Winer of best director in the documentary competition at the Sundance Film Festival). A scathingly tongue-in-cheek documentary following filmmaker Morgan Spurlock who, for 30 days, can not eat or drink anything that isn't on the McDonald's menu. He must three meals a day, consume everything on the menu at least once and have his meal supersized if asked. As he treks across the country, he interviews experts on fast food as wll as just plain folks chowing down at the Gold Arches. Suprlock's physical and emotional metamorphisis over the 30 days is downright harrowing. NR, 98 min. What the #$! Do We Know? Best Documentary Award Winner at the 2004 Ashland Independent Film Festival. A woman finds herself in an Alice in Wonderland experience when her uninspired life quite literally begins to unravel, revealing the quantum field hidden behind what we consider to be our reality. A mixture of documentary, animation and drama illustrates ideas woven together by a Greek chorus of scientists, physicians, mystics and theologians. NR. 111 minutes.
