Zimmerman’s songs have been heard on HBO and Showtime. He's shared stages with Bill Maher, Robin Williams, Ellen DeGeneres, John Oliver, Kate Clinton and George Carlin. He's been profiled on NPR's "All Things Considered," and he's a featured blogger for the Huffington Post. Tickets are $18 in advance and are available online at brownpapertickets.com/event/2473512 . Tickets will be $20 at the door. Bathtub Gin Serenaders The band — Eric von Radics on guitars, Lawrence Newcomb on wind instruments, David Orr on bass, Melissa Orr on violin, Stephany Smith Pearson on accordion and mandolin, Chari Weatherford on washboard, Nancy Martin on vocals and Pete Wirts on drums — will play its original songs inspired by the Prohibition era at 8:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, at Public House, 258 A St., Ashland. Admission is free. Also look for the band's contemporary twist on songs from the '20s and '30s, including "Diga Diga Doo" from the 1924 Broadway show "The Blackbirds" and the 1927 "Lonesome Road," reinterpreted with a New Orleans style and a smokin' washboard solo. Siskiyou Summit Bluegrass band Siskiyou Summit — Jeff Jones on mandolin, Crystal Reeves on fiddle, Glenn Freese on guitar, Rick Nelson on banjo and Chris Raymoure on upright bass — will play traditional and original music at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, at the Eagle Point Grange, 5 S. Shasta Ave. Snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be available at intermission. Tickets are $20, $15 for age 11 and younger, and are available at Valley Feed and Upper Rogue Independent in Eagle Point, Nelson's Brake and Alignment in Medford, Rainey's Corner Market in White City, by calling 541-826-9873 or at the door. The concert is a benefit for the Eagle Point Grange. Artist Lecture Artist Ryan Pierce will speak at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8, in the Meese Auditorium in the Art Building on the Southern Oregon University campus in Ashland. Pierce is one of eight Oregon-based artists participating in the Schneider Museum of Art's new exhibit, "Exploring Reality." His large-scale, mixed-media landscapes explore the effects of climate change and contain symbols that evoke wonder and dread at the possibilities of our changing world. Co-founder of Signal Fire, a group that facilitates wilderness residencies and retreats for artists, Pierce is represented at the Elizabeth Leach Gallery in Portland. The SOU Art Building is near the intersection of Siskiyou Boulevard and Indiana Street. Admission to the talk is free. Britt Festival fundraiser Britt Festivals will host a three-course dinner followed by a concert with vocalist China Forbes of Portland orchestra Pink Martini at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, at Inn at the Commons, 200 N. Riverside Ave., Medford. The Valentine-themed gala will include wine, dinner and the concert. Tickets are $125 or $150 and are available at the Britt box office, 216 W. Main St., online at brittfest.org or by calling 541-773-6077. Forbes and Pink Martini founder Thomas Lauderdale co-write some of Pink Martini's most popular songs, including "Sympathique," "Lilly" and "Let's Never Stop Falling in Love." Forbes also has two solo albums to her credit: "Love Handle" and "'78."
