--> --> Thanks for nothing, have a nice day How would you like a toxic waste site 120 feet from your backyard patio? How about an asbestos plant or a gravel pit? For approximately $1,500 per month? My next door neighbor is letting AT&T erect a 125 foot cell tower, in an exclusive farm zone out by Emigrant Lake. All the neighbors (77 signatures on petition!) oppose this plan. For me to get five minutes to express my concerns to Jackson County, I have to take a day off work (hearing set for Sept. 17) and pay an initial, non-refundable "hearing request fee" of $250. Mericom Corporation, the spin people for AT&T, and Jackson County planners will "listen" to us. Is the tower going in THEIR backyards? No!! It already sounds like the Monument. How many people need to speak up for our public officials to represent them? 1,000? 10,000? Another case of "Thank you for your input ... have a nice day?"
