by Senator hcCerthy. It was pointed out that in ten of the oases the Bureau had co
ducted no investiration but that the individuals involved were no longer employed b
t'on in L-eau files that they were em-j the State Jeoartment and there was no indica 1 2'1
poyed elsewhere in the Government. On Iarch 29, 1950 EFO was telephonically in- I
structed to make a check with the Civil ¬erviCe Cemnissiqn to verify that these tent
individuals are not employed in the Federal Government at the present tile.
SL1pe1 ViSOIFOf the TFO telephonically advised me on Perch 30, 1950 3
that, according to t e records of the Civil Service Commission, none of these ten
individuals are presently employed in the Executive Branch of the Government. The
ten individuals in question are listed as follows, together with the case number by
which they have been described by Senator McCarthy:
