Futurebirds play the Brickroom in Ashland Mar 27, 2015 12:00 AM A A The Georgia-based Futurebirds will perform its mix of dreamy, offbeat pop and heavy twang at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, March 28, at Brickroom Gathering House, 35 N. Main St., Ashland. The band sounds as though a lap-steel player ate a couple of magic mushrooms and zoned out to Pink Floyd’s “The Piper at the Gates of Dawn.” The outfit picks up the country-psych tradition on its 2013 “Baba Yaga, and takes it to the uncomfortable corners of our minds.
