Truitt moves up in GPD standings GRANTS PASS -- Jockey Myra Truitt rode to two first-place finishes and was runner-up three times in Friday's horse racing results at the Grants Pass Downs. Truitt moved into third place in the jockey standings with 13 total wins on the season. Joe Crispin, who got his 22nd win, moved into first place with two wins on the day, followed by Keith Rough with 21. Truitt led thoroughbred Crown Of Spring to a first-place finish in the 5-furlong second race, while mixed breed Classy Val took home first place in the 600-yard sixth race. Twyla Beckner also produced two winners on the day to raise her season win total to 11. Racing continues today with the Far West Futurity Trials kicking off at 1 p.m. The trials will be the third through the sixth races on the 10-race card.
