Small child killed at tire shop Aug 19, 2017 12:00 AM A A A 3-year-old boy has died in an apparent accident at a south Medford tire store. A Les Schwab employee driving a customer's vehicle from the shop into the parking lot struck the child at just after 2 p.m. Saturday, according to Medford police and Emergency Communications of Southern Oregon reports. A Mercy Flights ambulance rushed the child to Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center, where doctors pronounced the boy deceased. The release doesn't say who drove the vehicle. Medford detectives are investigating the death, as is the multi-agency Southern Oregon Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction team.
