Adult cats free at local shelters this weekend Tuesday Nov 1, 2016 at 4:40 PM Nov 1, 2016 at 4:40 PM Adult cats at three local animal shelters will be free Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 5-6. All adoption fees will be waived at this Catstravaganza event for cats 1 year or older. Cats will be offered for adoption from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days at SoHumane, 2910 Table Rock Road, Medford; Jackson County Animal Care and Control Center, 5595 S. Pacific Highway, Phoenix; and Sanctuary One (closed Sunday), 13195 Upper Applegate Road, Jacksonville. All adult cats are fully vaccinated and spayed or neutered. Many will be micro-chipped. Criteria for qualified adopters will remain the same as usual for each organization. No kittens will be free, but will be available for adoption at regular fees. The three shelters are have more than 65 adult cats up for adoption.
