Teen arrested on manslaughter charge By Vickie Aldous By Mail Tribune staff Updated: Feb 28, 2022 04:51 PM A A A teen was arraigned Monday in Jackson County Circuit Court on charges related to the December shooting death of another teen. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday a 17-year-old juvenile has been arrested on manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide charges for his alleged involvement in the December shooting death of another teenager. The teen died after being shot at a home in the 600 block of Netherlands Road in Trail on the night of Dec. 26, 2021. He was also 17 and died from an apparent gunshot wound to the head, the sheriff’s office said. The juvenile suspect was arraigned on charges Monday in the juvenile division of Jackson County Circuit Court, the sheriff’s office said. The sheriff’s office did not name the suspect or the teen who died.
