Five hurt in crash A 4-year-old Central Point boy broke both legs and suffered a severe cut to the scalp and four others were injured Sunday evening in a head-on collision on Highway 140. Brandon Kyle Graham, 4, who suffers from cystic fibrosis, was in serious condition at Rogue Valley Medical Center, a nursing supervisor said. His mother, Laura Lee Graham, 28, suffered chest and abdomen injuries and was being evaluated at the hospital, along with Brandon's grandfather, the driver of their car, Roger William McKeehan, 51, who broke his pelvis and Brandon's grandmother, Janet K. McKeehan, 49, who suffered neck and shoulder injuries. The driver of the other vehicle, Sy Emmett Allen, 20, of Klamath Falls, injured an ankle. About 5:30 p.m. Sunday, the McKeehans and Grahams -- who all live in Central Point -- were in a 1993 Ford Taurus heading toward Medford, said Oregon State Police Sgt. Steven Cupernall. Allen was driving a 1980 Toyota Landcruiser east toward Klamath Falls, where he is a student at the Oregon Institute of Technology. Allen hit a patch of ice near the Fish Lake Campground and his Toyota fishtailed and went into the oncoming lane, hitting the McKeehan's Taurus. Both drivers were going about 40 to 45 mph and said that the road was OK, Cupernall said. "Both of the drivers thought the road was just wet," Cupernall said. No one was issued citations in the accident. All were wearing seat belts. Cupernall said about 15 gallons of gas spilled out of the cars, which was treated as an environmental hazard because it was so close to Fish Lake.
