Raider wrestlers gain one mat title Raider roundup ASHLAND -- Former Crater star Doug Lee returned to the Rogue Valley Saturday to capture the 184-pound title for the University of Oregon at the annual Belcastro Open wrestling tournament at McNeal Pavilion. Junior transfer Ryan Schumann highlighted Southern Oregon University's performance in the 16-school event with the Raiders' lone championship. Schumann, a 174-pounder from Las Vegas via Southwestern Oregon CC, posted a 16-3 major decision over Boise State's Kyle Klonzios in the title bout. "Ryan wrestled smart," Southern Oregon coach Mike Ritchey said. "He won the close matches. He wrestled exceptionally well in the finals." Brigham Young led the strong field with four weight-class champions, while Oregon and Boise State each added two. No team scores were kept. Lee posted a 6-2 victory over Cash Edwards of Boise State in the finals. Two other former Crater wrestlers also participated in the tournament.
