School, store take donations for burned-out White City family An elementary school and a grocery store are accepting donations for a White City family that lost its home and many of its belongings in a fire late last week. Sean Heller, 34, and his family were able to escape their mobile home Thursday after an electrical short ignited a blaze there. But the mobile home, which the Hellers rented, was destroyed in the fire. The family is staying with friends until they find a new place to live. Household items -- blankets, pots and pans, bedding, linens, utensils and furniture -- are being collected by the Mountain View Elementary School in White City and the Safeway Food & Drug store in the Medford Center. Heller, a house painter, said he also is looking for steady work. Anyone who may be able to help the family is asked to call 830-4243, where messages are being collected for the Hellers.
