The Capitol Steps: What began in 1981 as a group of U.S. Senate staffers lampooning their daily work environment emerged as a celebrated, hilarious ensemble that's made appearances on NPR, PBS and top commercial television networks and recorded more than 30 albums, including "ObamaMia1" "How to Succeed in Congress Without Really Lying" and "Mock the Vote. The Washington Times call its shows "the best musical satire on Washington ever seen." A performance is set for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, at the Craterian Theater, 23 S. Central Ave., Medford.
