Medford police Thursday arrested Abney on a felony charge of possession of methamphetamine and a misdemeanor charge of second-degree criminal trespass. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail on $10,000 bail. Criminal mischief — Jerold Theordore Volzs, 69, of the 2700 block of Siskiyou Boulevard, Ashland. Jackson County sheriff's deputies Friday arrested Volzs on a felony charge of first-degree criminal mischief and a misdemeanor charge of second-degree disorderly conduct. He was booked in the jail and released on his own recognizance. DUII — Marcelo Corona, 44, of the 4600 block of Hillcrest Road, Medford. Medford police Friday arrested Corona on a felony charge of DUII and misdemeanor charges of driving while suspended and reckless driving. He was lodged in the jail on $50,000 bail. Assault — Nathan Andrew Schichtel, 25, of Spokane Valley, Wash. Central Point police Friday arrested Schichtel on a felony charge of fourth-degree assault and misdemeanor charges of second-degree disorderly conduct and two counts of harassment. He was lodged in the jail on $30,000 bail. Criminal mistreatment — Elizabeth Jeanet Vega, 29, of the 100 block of Fern Valley Road, Medford. Jackson County sheriff's deputies Friday arrested Vega on a felony charge of first-degree criminal mistreatment. She was lodged in the jail. Drugs — Curtis Bradley Stevenson, 37, of the 7800 block of Laura Lane, White City. Jackson County sheriff's deputies Friday arrested Stevenson on a felony charge of possession of heroin and misdemeanor charges consisting of two counts of fourth-degree assault and two counts of harassment. He was lodged in the jail on $17,000 bail. Witness tampering — Thomas William Merriman, 54, of the 2000 block of Hondeleau Lane, Medford. Medford police Friday arrested Merriman on a felony charge of tampering with a witness. He was lodged in the jail on $100,000 bail. Drugs — Cody Bernard Markell, 24, no known address. Jackson County sheriff's deputies Friday arrested Markell on a felony charge of possession of heroin, a misdemeanor charge of DUII and a parole violation on an original charge of possession of heroin. He was lodged in the jail without bail.
