Climate Change Film: Southern Oregon Climate Action Now will offer a showing of "Chasing Coral," a 2017 Sundance Festival prizewinning documentary film, at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Tuesday, Feb. 27, at the Medford library, 205 S. A marble maze design challenge brings physics properties to life, demonstrating the concepts of gravity, friction and inertia. Kids learn about aerodynamics by designing and building their own miniature paper rockets. A sky scraper challenge allows them to create towers using wooden dowels and rubber bands. The Wood Brothers: Folk trio The Wood Brothers — upright bassist Chris Wood, guitarist Oliver Wood and multi-instrumentalist Jano Rix — perform at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, in the Music Recital Hall, 405 S. Mountain Ave., on the Southern Oregon University campus in Ashland. Their newest albums, a studio recording titled "Paradise" and a live album titled "Live at the Barn," were released in 2015 and 2017, respectively, on independent label Honey Jar Records.
