The outage is scheduled to begin at 1 a.m. and could last until 3 a.m., although power will be restored as soon as possible, the company said in a news release.The time was picked to minimize disruption. The area affected is along Highway 66 between Ashland and Pinehurst, Old Siskiyou Highway between Emigrant Lake and the Siskiyou Summit, Mount Ashland Ski Road, and Hyatt Lake and Hyatt Prairie roads. Customers along Dead Indian Memorial Road will be unaffected. Customers in the affected area have been notified about the outage, Pacific Power reported. Lodging operators are encouraged to make sure guests are aware of the interruption, as well.
