The second-place Raiders (13-2, 9-1) remain undefeated against the last-place Thunderbirds (4-12, 0-10) in 11 encounters dating back to 1997 after converting 44 of 91 attacks for a season-best .352 efficiency, while forcing the Portland school into more errors (25) than kills (20). SOU junior All-American hitter Kristina Matchett led all players with 13 kills, while junior hitter Sara Tatom and freshman middle Nicholette Le Bel tallied nine and eight, respectively. Raider freshmen reserves Jamie McCreary racked up 23 assists in the first two games.
