A Medford police officer Tuesday arrested Nix on charges of being a felon in possession of a weapon, carrying a concealed firearm and providing false information to police about insurance. At about 10:30 a.m., an officer stopped Nix’s vehicle near the intersection of Highway 62 and Poplar Drive. Medford police Lt. Mike Moran said the traffic stop was made because police were aware Nix was driving with a suspended license. Police found a loaded .44-caliber handgun in the vehicle’s center console, Moran said. Nix was lodged in the Jackson County Jail and later released after posting bail. Identity theft, drugs — Daniel Thomas Conlogue, 41, no known address. A Medford police officer Tuesday arrested Conlogue on charges of identity theft and possession of amphetamines. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Tuesday on $10,000 bail. Drugs — Christopher Michael Piersol, 41, of the 200 block of Haven Street, Medford. A Medford police officer Tuesday arrested Piersol on charges of possession of heroin and driving under the influence of intoxicants. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Tuesday on $14,000 bail. Eluding — Melissa Jean Kusel-Hislip, 21, of the 100 block of Northridge Terrace, Medford. A Medford police officer Tuesday arrested Kusel-Hislip on charges of attempting to elude a police officer in a vehicle, attempting to elude a police officer on foot and resisting arrest. She was lodged in jail, where she remained late Tuesday on $12,000 bail. Drugs — Carrie Jean Frost, 35, of the 900 block of Newtown Street, Medford. Frost appeared Tuesday in Jackson County Circuit Court on an indictment charging her with manufacturing amphetamines, delivering amphetamines and possession of amphetamines. She was booked into jail and released on her own recognizance. Drugs — Gilbert Romero Herrera, 35, no known address. A Medford police officer Tuesday arrested Herrera on a charge of possession of amphetamines and an out-of-county warrant charging him with failure to appear in court. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Tuesday on $12,500 bail. Advertisement Eluding — Stuart Evans McClure, 50, of the 300 block of Lithia Avenue, Talent. An Oregon State Police trooper Tuesday arrested McClure on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving and attempting to elude a police officer in a vehicle. He was lodged in jail and released after posting bail. Assault — Shaun Michael Regula, 24, of the 1000 block of Comet Avenue, Central Point. A Central Point police officer late Monday arrested Regula on three counts of third-degree assault and failure to appear in court. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Tuesday on $110,000 bail. Crime report Burglary — First block of Hawthorne Street, Medford. A Medford police officer Tuesday took a report of a burglary in which two computers and accessories valued at $1,060 were stolen from a business.
