October 15. 2014 2:00AM Ann D. Hensley Ann Durno Hensley was born in Grants Pass, Ore. May 29, 1930 and passed away October 8, 2014 at the Rogue Valley Manor in Medford. She was the eldest daughter of Dr. Edwin R. and Evelyn B. Durno. She graduated from Medford High School in 1948 and spent two years at the University of Oregon where she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. She left college when she was 21 years old to become a stewardess for TWA Airlines. She married Richard Hensley July 3, 1953 in Medford and was a home-maker and stay-at-home mother to their four children. Ann belonged to the Colony Club, the Medford Junior Service League, the Rogue Valley Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and P.E.O Chapter AA. She was a long-time member of the Rogue Valley Country Club. Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Richard and her son-in-law Jim Brands. She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Brands of Canby and Jayne (Doug) Hurl of McMinnville; sons, Jon (Marcel) Hensley of Temecula, Calif. and Jeffrey (Jaci) Hensley of Phoenix, Ariz.; sister, Jane Stringer of Medford; seven grandsons; one granddaughter; and one great-grandson. Upon her request, no service was held.
