Trail Blazer Alumni game is Saturday The Les Schwab/Portland Trail Blazer Alumni basketball team will play an exhibition game Saturday at 7 p.m. at North Medford High. Proceeds from the game will benefit Lone Pine Elementary School of Medford in purchasing classroom computers. Four local teams will play one quarter each against the Blazers. Former Trail Blazers scheduled to play are Dale Schleuter, Nick Jones, Larry Steele, Bob Gross and Darrall Imhoff. Gross and Steele played for Portland's 1977 NBA championship team. Other former Blazers who may appear are Michael Harper, Darnell Valentine, Greg Smith and Mark Radford, according to game director Liz Morris. At 5 p.m., Blazers players will conduct a basketball clinic for local children who attend Lone Pine. The players will be available at halftime of the exhibition game for autographs. They will also conduct an oral auction at halftime. Items being auctioned off include gift baskets from Harry & David, a package for an overnight stay at Willow Bed and Breakfast of Ashland and two tickets for the Oregon Cabaret Theatre in Ashland; an overnight trip to Eugene and game tickets for an Oregon Duck football game against the University of Arizona in Eugene next fall; a night for two in the Clyde Drexler suite at the Vintage Plaza Hotel in Portland; and two lift tickets and an overnight stay at Mount Bachelor.
